1. You support Darden workers in NY, DC and Chicago protesting against discrimination and wage theft in their workplace. Tell Darden to sit down and meet with the workers and resolve their issues immediately!
2. In addition, tell them that you saw in the ROC Diners’ Guide 2012 (link) that Darden pays low wages to their workers – as low as $2.13 for servers– and does not provide basic benefits like paid sick days. Say that you want Darden to take the high road and be a responsible employer by treating workers with respect and providing decent wages and paid sick days! |

HAND OUT A ROC DINERS’ GUIDE CARD to any managers or owners you come across. ROC recently released a National Diners’ Guide 2012 – a consumer guide to ethical eating. In the Guide, we encourage consumers to support restaurants that engage in responsible employment practices – such as providing decent wages, paid sick days, and fair promotions policies. Unfortunately, Darden fared poorly in the ROC Diners’ Guide – we ask you to HAND OUT the ROC DINERS’ GUIDE CARD to managers and tell them that you want Darden to improve working conditions in their restaurants.
